P-day last week decided to go fishing for P-day with the zone leaders Elder Smith & Adair on the way there to a members house in Searcy for fishing we found a turtle in the middle of the road and took it with us and freed it by the dock it swam straight into a dock pole. Later this week we've been stopping by an unfourtante member in the branch stuck at home with throat cancer Brother Beard and got to help start reading the book of Mormon with him and have decided to help him out by starting taking sacrament to him as well on Sundays as he recovers. The zone leaders and My companion who is the district leader Elder Goaslind had a leadership meeting to be to so I got to go on a quick exchange with Elder Sandman in Jacksonville. We went tracking for some Investigators and actually got some returns and interest and handed out a few book of Mormons. Later that night I met back up with My companion & the zone leaders and got taken to a new Chinese Buffe in the Searcy by a member/Branch clerk & young men's councilor Brother Giford after that we had The Book of Mormon class and basketball to be at but unfourtantly that great Chinese Buffe aka also referred to in 1st Nephi 14:10 as the mother of all abominations. Did not sit well at all I felt like I needed my stomach pumped afterwards and instead ended the night at the zone leaders apartment with some magnesium citrate. But i was better the next morning for another district meeting which afterwards Me, My companion and the zone leaders where called to be Paul Bearers for an older member in the Searcy ward who had passed a way named Selma Smith we helped carry her casket and got to see a dedicating of a grave for the first time. After the funeral me and Elder Goaslind went to meet up with one of our Investigators Pa Bradford who had a baptism date but due to some concerns with his wife we don't know when it will be yet but he still has the desire and told us to continue coming over and teaching the rest of the lessons for now and we have a return with him for Thursday. Baptism is just a matter of when the time is right and everything settles into plan. Later this week me and Elder Goaslind didn't have much luck tracking ourselves but got 1 return appointment for next week with a Baptist family man named Ryan who has always had an interest In the book of Mormon so we where still able to hand one out and said he would love us to share a message with Him and his family next week! We then got our first service project this week as well which we got a flyer to from Sister Taylor an sweet older lady who we help out with and go visit in the Branch her daughter Cassie is helping with a car show for next Saturday that she wants us to be volunteers for so should be fun! Been watching and collecting some eggs this week as well for our Branch President President Sherwood we agreed to watch his chickens for him while him & the entire rest of the Branch Presidency is out of town this week so should be fun for Sunday lol. Sister Taylor has been feeling better this week so we went to the weekly Saturday Beebe flea market with her that morning. We also have an progressing Investigator we've been seeing there each week Debra she's been reading all the pamphlets we've given to her and the book of Mormon as we've gone over the first 3 lessons but she lives in Sherwood and we where finally able to convince her to meeting with the missionaries down there in Sherwood to teach her where she lives! Will check back up on Saturday and hope all things go well. Later at church this week where we had a teacher as a presiding authority with all the Branch Presidency gone this week lol. But actually had a family in the Branch who hadn't been In a couple of weeks cause of Brother Frees blood pressure medicine dosage the Frees. So great seeing them there and being able to come they where definitly happy to be there again but we also got to see our Branch Mission leader there for the first time this week. Cause we where finally able to talk to him and set up a dinner appointment with him this week for Tuesday he liked our motivation and hadn't been to the Beebe branch since it happened and branched off from Searcy so hopefully we continue to see him! Be nice to have a mission leader. Later that Sunday to end my week we went tracking with no luck but had my first spiritual prompting to turn around and to go knock on an apartment duplex we hadn't knocked on we found a nice lady there named Linda who actually had a member friend in Cabot we got to talk to her a little bit about the first message she accepted our book of Mormon and decided to set a return appointment with us for next Sunday! Overall pretty long but good week and hope to get some more new official Investigators for next week!
