Week 8 (Beebe, AR)

Got go to Quitman again this week after district meeting on Tuesday. I went off with Elder Donahoo & Elder Ollury. We got to teach a part member family the Jewels that night both her and her daughter's are active in the church & the boyfriend/dad Casey is interested in learning much. So we got to go over the plan of salvation 1st lesson with him and the family. He seemed to have a better understanding of everything & has already started and enjoyed reading the introduction of the book of Mormon. After the lesson his family was ecstatic and we got to challenge them to start reading together every night! After I went back from exchanges the next day back to Beebe & Our Branch President President Sherwood was back and he took us out for dinner that night to an really awesome Mongolian stir fry place where we got to watch & make our own plate! Had a successful fun book of Mormon class with the sisters and zone leaders later that night. The next day Me and my companion Elder Goaslind got to go continue teaching our most progressing Investigator Pa Bradford his desire to get baptized has grown every time but unfourtantly we ran into another bit of a roadblock again this week. When teaching him this time we got to start going over the word of wisdom which we didn't think he would have any problems with but it turns out which I could understand why it would be hard for him to give up cause but he's apparently been waking up to coffee every single morning for the past fifty something years. So he definitely won't give up on it since he admits that it can be an addiction but said that he'll pray about it and he's reading every night and where just gonna go back and check up with him and continue teaching him some more next week. Got to go help out with a really cool car show in Beebe this weekend we got to hold up the sign and help dunk kids with the dunk tank. Sunday we had the whole Branch Presidency back and we got a number from a new potential Investigator that we met last week Linda and are gonna go back and hopefully start teaching her next Sunday!
