Week 11 (Beebe, AR)

Had a pretty good week this week some ups & downs. On Monday our referral who we where looking forward to teaching Zach & his family who had just recently lost there 2 month old son. Where wanting to hear our message for them at 6:30 but where unable to answer when we got there. We left him our number and are still trying to contact him for later this week. But will see how it goes hopefully. Sweet is the work as it has been for most of our referrals this week either giving us wrong addresses & such but we where able to contact a few & set up some times with them. We had one lady we got to drop off a bible to she called us the normons and said she enjoyed our beliefs so we where able to talk to her a little bit & leave her with our number, a pamphlet & address to our church as well. Other than that we had zone conference this week where President and Sister Hansen where there & got to talk about finding off the spirit. Afterwards we had interviews with President Hansen & I got to go over & set some goals with him had a goal for at least 1 baptism this transfer with Pa Bradford & To finish my first 12 weeks and to go finding for at least 2 to 3 hours a day. We later got to go on Exchanges that night for the next day with the Zone Leaders/Searcy Elders Elder Smith & Adair I got to go with Elder Adair and My new companion from last week Elder Thurgood got to go with Smith. It was cool getting to do studies with Elder Adair the next morning and we prepared to go over and teach the baptismal questions with Pa Bradford hopefully getting him ready for baptism & see how he's doing. We went over & he said he had fasted from coffee completely on Sunday & had no longer any desire to drink any. He said he's felt great and has apparently been reading the book of Mormon everyday & is on to 2nd Nephi & has enjoyed it thurly. We went over some of the baptismal interview questions with him & he said he felt ready & invited him to be ready and get baptized on September 9th! It was awesome just seeing his whole spiritual tone just change completely as he accepted the offer. His whole family is super stoked for him. Including his brother in law Jimmy who has just finally received the aronic preisthood from now being a member himself for 8 weeks! The whole Bradford family in the branch is very excited Pa Bradfords Son Brother Bradford/Jody is gonna get to baptize him on the 9th so looks like it will be a great experience for the entire family. After all that and getting to talk to Jimmy a little bit as well me and Elder Adair went back to the apartment and met up with Elders Smith & Thurgood to exchange back. The rest of the week we had weekly planing to try to get at least 2 more new Investigators this next week as we plan to go tracting every day we tried to contact some potentials as well. Got to spend the rest of the night preparing for stake conference this weekend cleaning the church with the Park family. He's the 2nd councilor & him and his wife are expecting there first kid/son in January. We got to help him brother park with ushering for the stake conference this past weekend Saturday & Sunday. So lots of service for that! This week Busy week. Will see where the next week goes with more finding!
