Week 13 (Beebe, AR)

It's been a pretty exciting week this week only 6 more days till we get to baptize Pa Bradford on Saturday! We got to an announce it in church yesterday & finally have gospel principles class with him with our new Branch Mission leader. Brother Brown. We also got 20 home teaching family's this week our mission president President Hansen wants all the missionaries to be assigned 20 home teaching family's for there ward. So that was cool got to go try to see a few of them this week. We also on Tuesday had an other Exchange with the Searcy Elders Elder Adair & Smith. Adair came down here to Beebe with me as usual and we got to go teach a guy Me & My companion Elder Thurgood found last week named Lance he has 6 kids from the ages of 2 to 17! So we got to go talk to him and go over the first lesson with him and a few of his younger kids there. Talked to him a little more about the restoration and Book of Mormon said he'd be interested in attending our church with some of his kids when he gets the chance but said he would read the book of Mormon & pray about it & set up a time for us to come back & see him next week! After we got to talk to Lance and 2 of his kids I realized that we where on the same street that Me & My companion Elder Thurgood delivered a bible to someone on & got to hand a Book of Mormon to as well. His name is Richard Bradford so we decided to stop by his house as well to see if he read or had any questions & surly enough he was there. He was excited to see us and said he read a little bit of the introduction to the book of Mormon and it got him interested. So he set up a time for Me & Elder Thurgood to meet him at his work the next day. We eventually got to go meet him at his work the next day or 2 & when we got there he got us to follow him and meet him at his house. There it was just the 3 of us and we got to go over our full message with him & the entire first lesson of the gospel blesses family's and the restoration of the church. He was very family centered so it was awesome then we explained to him the restoration & it all made since to him completely & said he was gonna take the book of Mormon with him to his next work meeting car auction today and get to read over it Said he would be able to and love to attend church next week & is gonna give us a call as he reads the book of Mormon this next week and be able to set up an other follow up and lesson with him. Meanwhile while tracting to try to find some new people to teach for the rest of the week we got to come by & set a time to come over and meet a former Investigator Dan Boudro. We went over and got to meet up with him later in the week and he's met with some other missionaries before said he's liked them all but has only got to talk with them a little bit so we where to talk to him a little bit about the Book of Mormon & found out he's a former Mason himself which was cool when we got to tell him how Joseph Smith actually used to be a Mason. Which strengthened a cool belief for him of anything Joseph Smith has said. So he's now agreed to want to read over the entire Book of Mormon. After teaching him about it's record of the people in the Americas. Cause they all know John 3:16 out here of course. For God so loved the world. So he said he looks forward to reading and will actually get to meet back up with him in 2 weeks! Doing awesome I love all the people down here and the south is always definitely entertaining I've found the best chocolate milk ever down here it comes from Jersey cows and is called Promise Land each bottle has Deuteronomy 26:9 on the side of there bottles lol.
