Wooo hoo survived the first week of my second transfer this week! It's been a fun one. On Tuesday we got to go to the American Legion building here in Beebe the 1st counciler in our Branch Brother Crain helps out there & got to take us there for dinner on Taco Tuesday night! We got to eat with them & meet a lot of vets it's was a pretty cool experience. We also got to go afterwards and got back in contact with one of our investigators who's number we thought we lost. Richard Bradford he was just a bible request referral we found at first a couple of weeks ago who we then told about the book of Mormon & got to give him one as well. We then had a zone conference the day we said we where gonna meet back up with him but then couldn't seem to get a hold of him to tell him. But I was on exchanges with Elder Adair about 2 or 3 weeks ago teaching someone Me and my companion Elder Thurgood found after the lesson I noticed we where in the same neighborhood as Richard & was felt prompted to stop by we did he was actually there that time was thrilled to see us & had actually been reading some of the book of Mormon. Since then me & my companion got to go meet him at his work that next day & he brought us to his house and we taught him the whole first lesson of the restoration. It went really well but since then was when we lost his number. But as I said we where finally able to get back in contact with him this week. Went & met up with him at his work & got to read a lot of the book of Mormon with him. He thurly enjoys it every time we come over to his work to read with him & always has a copy on him. & Now! We extended a invitation out for Baptisim! During one of our lessons & reading this week & he gladly accepted said & he would be ready for baptism on October 7th. He's gonna start being able to start coming to church every week to this week super excited for him! Got to go do some home teaching this week to went to visit a family in our Branch this week the Adamsons they made us some Deer burgers & they where Great! We also got to go do some service for the Frees this weekend & helped brush off the tombstones at the graveyard next to Brother Frees house that he manages & takes care off as he had to cut the grass around the tombstones. & let me tell you all something it is way to hot then it should be for a September day out here in Arkansas. Especially when the first day of fall is supposed to be this week here it probably won't even fully start till November lol. If there is one I loved about the south this weekend though on Saturday night we got taken to the demolition derby! For the state fair by the Bradfords I've never been to a Demolition Derby before & it was AWESOME!!! But yeah pretty great week this week & I really do testify of the importance of constant prayer & scripture study I know that both can really bring us to a much better knowledge & feeling as we strive to start the day. Can't wait to see what this next week brings & hope you all have a good one! Should be getting Facebook soon!
here's some pics of a safari pet shop I got to visit that our Branch President owns
