Been a pretty spiritual week this week & I'm now on my 4 month mark of being out on the mission. Sure doesn't feel like it in 2 months I'll get to burn a tie! Got to go to the Memphis Tennessee Temple this past Monday last week. & it was really cool getting to seeall parts of Memphis on the way there. Definitely hope I get to serve down there someday. Its always cool getting to feel the spirit like no other getting to do all the sacred work & ordinances we get to do in the temple it was a really nice small temple. But the spirit is always the same. We should always be glad of the opportunities we get in getting to go to the temple & the blessings that we can get that come from it. It was really cool since this will probably be the first & last time I get to go to the temple my entire mission. But It was cool getting to go with our whole district & got to run into one of my MTC buddies that I came out with in my district & take a picture with him Elder Pederson. It was a long drive back so the temple trip basically took up our whole day but I couldn't ask for a better p-day getting to go & I loved seeing Memphis the whole way. Back in Beebe Me & Elder Thurgood got to go & continue teaching one of our Investigators Richard Bradford this week while a lot of our other appointments fell trough. But It was cool getting to go over & teach the rest of the plan of salvation with him. Especially since he just lost his uncle this last weekend & couldn't make it to church or General Conference this week. But the plan of salvation is always a great comfort to get to share with people who just had a loss that reassures them of where will all going after this life & how we can always be with & see our loved ones again. It really helped him as the spirit helped it all make since to him. And he got to re set his Baptism date to the 21st! While he attends his uncle's funeral in Stugart. We also got to go help out with a funeral here in Beebe this weekend on Friday. That Brother Crain the first councilor in our Branch was conducting for. He got to help teach and talk about the plan of salvation as God's loving plan for us for all those who were mourning. It was truly a great comfort & cool experience to be apart of this weekend as Me & Elder Thurgood got to give the Closing & opening prayers. We also got to go & of course watch General Conference! This weekend! At the church. We where driven up there by the Shattucks in our Branch. It was just us & them & the Searcy Elders/ Zone leaders. That watched it up there at the church but we had a pretty good turn out for the priesthood session on Saturday night all the priesthood came from our Branch & the Searcy ward and brought some really good briquette & pulled pork BBQ before hand! Conference was really fun this weekend though one of my favorite talks was given by Russell M. Nelson talking about the importance of the Book of Mormon & all the great questions it answers for us. Being out here on my mission & being able to have effective studies every day I testify of what Russell M. Nelson said that If you prayerfully study the Book of Mormon everyday you will make better decisions everyday. & how great it was a blessing that just before one of our twelve apostles passed away during the Sunday morning of General Conference that we had a talk of the blessings all around us in this life & the life after by Donald L. Halestrom. It was a blessing for him Elder Hales to be able to pass away in peace surrounded by his family & friends during Conference on the Sabbath. It was a great week this week & a wonderful Conference to hear from this weekend & I look forward to updating you all on the next week! & seeing who we have sustained as a new apostle of the twelve come next Conference! In 6 months.
