Week 22 (North Little Rock, AR)

Had a great first week of the transfer this week now getting to serve down in North little rock with my great new companion/follow up trainer Elder Sagle who is from Canada. We got to go teach a lot of people this week the first 2 days where a little struggle getting to walk around everywhere & getting no one to be able to answer their door. But on Tuesday we got picked up by the office elders while walking to a dinner appointment we had with them & 5 other missionaries at a great members house in our ward the Miller's! That's right same last name lol & yes that's right they fed 9 of us. The main reason why is cause yes they where feeding us & the office elders. But Me & Elder Sagle also had 3 other missionaries staying with us that where staying the night till they get to go training & meet the new missionaries coming in on Wednesday & the office elders had 2 with them as well. But the Miller's were actually excited to get to feed all 9 of us lol. They have a family of 5 & turns out Brother Miller gets to cater to the missionaries all the time cause he owns all the Jimmy John's in North little rock so that was pretty cool. On Wednesday all the training missonaries where gone & we got to rearrange the apartment & go out a little. But on Thursday Me & Elder Sagle got to go help out at the food pantry here in North little rock which was great! You could really feel the great spirit of service for one another as we got to push out carts of food to other families. After the getting to do service at the food pantry with the Sherwood Sisters there as well we got to get there soccer mom van afterwards for our area! for all the walking we've been doing. So now it's been going great! lol We got to have another dinner appointment with just us & the office elders later that night with a great German part member family in the ward with 3 little kids the Browns they also have a 14 year old energenic weenie dog. We got to share a great message about the stripling warriors with them & relying on the Lord. Afterwards we had correlation with our ward mission leader & the Sisters as well then had sports night all at the church. This weekend went by pretty great on Friday we got to go & teach a couple of really cool people we met this one guy named Dwight who had been given a Book of Mormon 15 years ago & talked to the missionaries a little bit but never really got to talk about it. So he was so glad to be able to meet with us as we got to explain to him about the book of Mormon & it being God's dealings with all the people in America's & Christ coming to them & teaching his other sheep. He was super glad we got to talk about with him & a little bit of the restoration & said he would look forward to meeting with us again with some friends to show us & read & pray about the book of Mormon. Also on Friday we got to go have weekly planning at the church then all got to be part of the ward trunk or treat Halloween party. All the missionaries In our district us the office elders & the Sisters all decided to get onesies & dress up! It was super great & we got to really get close together & meet a lot of the members who I hadn't met in our ward & help out with the kids games & Halloween costume contest where I got to march them around to this is Halloween in my Jack Skellington onesie lol & We got to judge the chilli cook off! Super fun night. We all took a district picture together afterwards in our onesies. Saturday the next day we got to go teach even more cool people we found. We got to hand out some Book of Mormons & got to teach & go over the whole introduction of the book of Mormon with a very nice lady named Nzina Williams & her 5 kids. It was super great getting to feel every thing we were teaching testifying to us & her as true. Her family loved it & said she would love to continue taking the lessons from us with her & her family next week! Church went well Sunday & both 2 pretty cool Investigaters got to show up & stay for all 3 hours of church. So a lot of really cool blessings this week. Oh yeah & also I broke my left wrist first day of the transfer last Monday going over an old elder who lefts bike but I'll be getting surgery today & I'm fine lol so have a blessed week! & remember (Mosiah 2:17) :)!
